Ways to Subtly and Easily Enhance your Brand Identity by Getting Creative

This week we listened to Becky for the 10-minute slot informing us of ‘Ways to Subtly and Easily Enhance your Brand Identity by Getting Creative’ from Abstract Print & Design.

ICONS

  • Icons can be used to separate different areas of your business whilst keeping a consistent brand
  • A more visual way to represent your services
  • Make it clear for your customers to understand what you offer
  • Provides more personality for your brand
  • Can update a brand instantly and can create a modern feel
  • Another added element that your customers will recognise and remember you for
  • ICONS CAN BE USED FOR MARKETING MATERIALS – they can add an extra design element that customers will be drawn to

AVATARS

  • Avatars of you and your team can bring a personal touch to your brand
  • They can help reinforce what service you offer – for example if you’re a in the trade industry you could be carrying tools
  • They can make your business more approachable
  • They can add an element of fun to encourage interaction between your business and your customers

INFOGRAPHICS

  • An infographic could portray the way your business works or you explain your services
  • They catch your customers eye – your customers are more likely to take in the information through a visual form instead of a paragraph of text
  • They’re universal and can be used on printed marketing material as well as online
  • Infographics can be used to reinforce a brand, simply because they are so visually appealing

GENERAL GRAPHICAL ELEMENTS

  • Elements of the logo could be used faintly across the background to create something more visually eye-catching
  • Something as simple as a dotted line under every title, arrows or having the website in a block down the bottom can help the customer recognise your brand instantly and draw them in before they’ve even read anything

FINALLY – BE CONSISTENT

  • Find a style and stick to it, use the same fonts, use your colours, use your logo and carry it all out in the same tone of voice
