The Athena Network: Woking & Alton Groups Launch

If you are a woman in business, you are warmly invited to the Athena Network Virtual Launch of the brand new Woking and Alton groups on Thursday, 20th October 11.30 am - 2.00 pm. You will be able to meet and network with fabulous, supportive, and welcoming women in business from in and around Woking and Alton.

Launching virtually on Thursday, 20th October the Woking group will be meeting on the third Thursday of the month thereafter and the Alton group on the fourth Thursday from 12 pm-2 pm (except August and December).

Not Just a Networking Group

The Athena Network has three aims:

• to create strategic connections/ collaborations
• to deliver and develop business skills through our business talks and workshops
• to inspire, motivate and support the women in our network
• We focus exclusively on women in business fulfilling a business development role.

The Athena Network offers inspiring opportunities to engage with business owners and decision-makers from diverse industry sectors. Founded on values of respect and integrity, Athena groups are committed to welcoming members and visitors in a relaxed, mutually supportive, and ethical environment.

In brief: 

• Athena is a women-only networking membership organisation
• All our groups meet once a month every month (except August and December)
• Our members have the opportunity to visit any other group in the network (where your profession is not occupied) for free using our PASS+ system
• There is also Cappuccino Connections (informal networking) which is run monthly
• Athena is all about relationship-building, training, and support

About Athena Meetings

Athena meetings are structured, interactive, informative, and professional whilst being fun and relaxed, providing the perfect combination for strong business partnerships. We aim to create a vibrant, thriving, and dynamic community of women entrepreneurs and executives who collaborate and connect with like-minded women.

The meetings have a set structure that includes business card-passing, a one-minute elevator pitch, referrals, and two training sessions. The meetings are formal, but always with a sense of fun and enjoyment. As a member, you will also be invited to attend an additional two-hour training session to help you get the most out of your Athena membership.

If you decide to join Athena, you would lock out other ladies sharing the same profession from visiting and/or joining this group. This means you would be able to build relationships with everyone in the group.
